Whatever your opinion may be, if you’re on a budget and looking for a form of transportation that fits conveniently when you’re looking for that free spot in the parking lot, highly efficient, eco-friendly, skip on some traffic and fun to drive around to appreciate your surroundings; you might want to look at this list we compiled so you can take a look at the smallest cars on the market:

6) The Tango

This ultra narrow car electric sports car by Commuter Cars is thinner than most motorcycles and may be thin enough to be driven side-by-side with other vehicles in some jurisdictions, measuring at only 8’5″ long and 39″ wide. This extremely convenient car can kick off from 0 to 60mph in 3.2 seconds. Oh, and did we mention the Tango can be charged up to 80% in 10 minutes?

5) The Myers Motors NmG

Its oddly shaped chassis might look unappealing and just plain ugly to most people looking for sleeker designs but this lithium-ion powered electric car that could run up to 70mph had two different models: the jelly bean and a hatchback model famously nicknamed “pizza butt” for use in Domino’s Pizza delivery (presumably because deliverers would take out the pizza from the hatchback).

4) The ElBil Norge Buddy Cab

This tiny adorable car comes from the land of Norway and it’s a very simple, functional electric car that goes up to 50mph, has a very quick charging time and it’s also small enough to fit in some jurisdictions to be legally parked sideways. Sadly these buddy cars are only being produced and sold in Norway.

3) The Th!nk City

Yet another small car from Norway, this small two-seater can go to a top speed of 68mph and it’s a high-way certified electric car along with other electrical cards in the world. So far it’s been sold in various countries of Europe and certain parts of USA.

2) Tata Nano

What could possibly be the cheapest small car in the list, approximately costing $2,000 at the time of its release in India where it was made and sold, this small car tried to serve as a replacement to the many users of motorcycles in India and its introduction received much attention to its incredibly low price. The Tata Nano can go up to 65mph.

1) Peel P50

This three-wheeled microcar penned Peel P50 was originally manufactured from 1962 to 1965 by the Peel Engineering Company. Oh and it also has gone on the record to gain the title of the smallest production car ever made listed by the 2010 Guinness Book of Records, sizing merely at 54 in long and 39 in wide with an unladen weight of 59 kilograms (130 lb) with a top speed of approximately 37mph. This car was so small; it was advertised as capable of seating “one adult and a shopping bag”.
