There are 31,536,000 seconds in a year. For some of us, these seconds pass by without much notice but for others, even wasting a second can be too expensive. For Bill Gates, wasting only a few seconds could cost him as much as a vacation to the Caribbean. That’s what happens when you have been on the Forbes Richest Men list for over 3 decades. Philanthropist, Investor, Programmer; just some of the words that come to mind when you think of this amazing man and all he has dedicated his life to achievement as well as his accomplishments.
Becoming a billionaire at the age of 32, Bill has a net worth of US$79 billion. He currently earns US$11.5 billion per year; that means he earns US$33.3 million per day, US$1.38 million per hour, US$23,148 per minute and US$358.80 per second. He has enough money to give everyone on the planet US$10 and still enough money for his grandchildren. He earns 120,000 times more in a second than the average American worker does in a day.
Bill Gates History
Born on October 28, 1955 to parents William Gates Sr, a prominent lawyer and Mary Maxwell Gates who served on the board of directors for First Interstate Bancsystem. He was always interested in computer systems and this was further unearthed when he enrolled in the Lakeside School.
He was particularly interested in programming and wrote his first program on a Teletype Model 33 ASR terminal, which the school purchased with proceeds from a sale. He then graduated from Lakeside School and scoring a 1590 out of 1600 on his SAT’s, he made his way to Harvard university in 1973. This was to be the making of great things.
